Could not put it down

I really like the story, the female narrator could be less whiney. Otherwise, the character and story development are believable. It’s a heart wrenching story, but I sympathize with all the characters. These things do happen to one family. I found myself praying for them as though they were real people. I hope for wonderful life for Beckett and Ella.

Wow just wow

So this book is my first for this author. I must say it is truly written beautifully. A roller coaster ride right from the beginning ! As a mother reading this I can only imagine the headache. For the same reason I truly felt the losses. Wow is all I can say at the end just sat here thinking Omg wow ! As tears fall from my eyes I sincerely thank the author for such a touching story ! Thru love comes great things and with love you can overcome many of things ❤️ thank you for the reminder

This. book. ❤❤

I couldn't stop listening! I cried and I laughed some and the ending was something I never seen coming and I cried a hell of a lot more.

As mentioned, be prepared for heartache.

I couldn’t understand why the author wrote such an unnecessarily painful story. My best guess is she wanted a story to make readers appreciate their own lives and love with everything we have. I got the memo loud and clear. Having two children myself this was very hard to listen to. I had to pause to cry several times and almost just gave up on the end because it was so hard to finish. But I made it through. Despite it all, I have to admit this was a beautifully written story.

Wonderful narration and story

This emotional roll coaster is the story of a young woman, her two children who are strong in courage, devotion, dedication, character and will. However this story is also full of angst, heart ache, break and emotion. you will need a box of tissues to get though all the hardship this young family endures in this novel.

ALL THE TEARS

Sometimes you read a book so beautiful that you just do not know how to write a review. The Last Letter has done that to me. All I can really say is, GO READ THIS! You will cry (a lot), smile, and it will make you believe in love (not just romantic love, but family love). This is a very emotional read. Triggers do include War, love and loss, and childhood cancer. I went into this blind and highly recommend doing so as well. I almost passed on this one, and I am so glad the cover kept calling to me. I did not want to put this one down. I only stopped reading to give my head a break from my crying headache from the beginning. I was tearing up even in the happy moments! This story just pulled at all my emotional strings. I think this is the most I have ever cried and the hardest I have ever cried over a book!! I literally could picture what was happening and kept thinking this would make an amazing on screen movie! I listed to this on Audible Escape. I definitely recommend the audiobook. I immediately went and purchased the paperback as I needed this in my collection. Overall, I loved this and am obsessed. This has made my top reads of 2019! I need more from this author! If you have read any of her other work, let me know what you recommend next!!

Very, very emotional

The story is good but it’s very emotional. I’ve never cried so much reading a book. I love the characters, the flow of the story, it’s definitely a good book.

True love and sacrifice

I laughed. I cried. The characters came to life in my mind and heart. The love expressed in this story is amazing from so many aspects. This book would make a great movie! I love this author!

Tissues needed! Amazingly beautiful story!

I just finished listening and I'm not ok!! Wow, Rebecca Yarros outdid herself with this amazing book. A beautiful yet gut wrenching book. There isn't much I can say without giving everything away. I feel blessed to have been able to spend time with Beckett, Ella, Maisy & Colt! My book hangover is intense. One of the best performances I have heard from Teddy Hamilton! This was my first time hearing Jennifer Stark narrate and she was amazing.
